| Air ConditioningAs more & more vehicles are equipped with factory fitted air conditioning, owners are beginning to understand the necessity and benefits of having their systems regularly serviced.
At Ribblesdale, we have worked in liaison with air conditioning manufacturers for over 10 years, developing an expertise in this field allowing us to offer our customers a comprehensive & highly competitive air conditioning service.
During a service, the vehicle is connected to a machine, similar to the one in the picture above.
The refrigerant gas is vacuumed from the vehicle to the machine & subsequently weighed.
From our extensive database we can ascertain the difference in the weighed gas & the weight that should be present for the vehicle make & model.
The correct amount of gas is re-introduced into the vehicle TOGETHER WITH LUBRICATING OIL, (for the compressor) and a specialist dye.
The machine is now disconnected, the vehicle is started & the air conditioning turned on.
With the added dye, it is now possible, with the aid of an ultra-violet light source, to check for refrigerant leaks from worn pipes, the condenser or evaporator.
If leaks are apparent, we will advise the customer of a recommended course of action, with all parts & labour costs.
If no leaks are found, then you can look forward to trouble free air conditioning, safe in the knowledge that your system has been serviced in line with manufacturers stipulations.
A WORD TO THE WISE!
The average cost for this service assuming no leaks are found is £39.99 inc VAT.
The average cost to replace an air conditioning compressor is around £400.00 + VAT.
The common cause for compressor failure in approximately 78% of cases is:
LACK OF COMPRESSOR LUBRICANT!
| Eberspacher Heaters. Sales, Spares & repairEberspacher is the chosen supplier of independent vehicle heating by many high profile car and commercial vehicle manufacturers, including DaimlerChrysler, BMW, Scania, Ford, DAF, Iveco, MAN, Volkswagen, GM and Renault.
As one of the UK's largest authorised Eberspacher dealers, we carry over 450 spare heater parts allowing us to service and repair the majority of Eberspacher heaters in the shortest possible time.
We have a versatile workshop facility that allows us to test water heaters and the more common air heaters. With recent advances in technology, we now have the ability rapidly identify component failure and also utilise Eberspacher's software programme to accurately assess the working hours and history of individual heaters together with any fault codes logged in the ECU.
Just as with a car or commercial vehicle engine, with any machinery utilising a combustion process, regular servicing is paramount to the prolonged life and trouble free operation of your Eberspacher heater. (In some instances servicing is a requirement of extended warranty).
As a guide, the estimated cost to service the most popular range of Eberspacher heaters is between £85.00 & £120 excluding VAT and any component replacement.
Please contact Eric Crook (Workshop Manager), for further details.
Ribblesdale Auto Electrics have been at the forefront of Eberspacher's expansion into the independent heating market since EBUK was established in 1977. We are fully conversant with all models of air & water heaters found in the car, commercial, plant & marine environments today.
Because we have one of the largest stock levels of Eberspacher spares in the country, (with supply contracts to Lancashire & Merseyside Ambulance Authorities), your heater can be serviced or repaired in the fastest possible time.

| Mobile ServiceOur team of electricians have their own designated company vehicle, all fitted with a 24 volt starting capability to keep our commercial customers vehicles on the road and minimising the "down-time" of the commercial vehicle operator.
These vehicles carry a vast array of trade associated stock such as cable, bulbs, electrical suzies, lamps, switches, relays, flasher units etc. This enables most repairs to be carried out with one initial visit to our customers premises. We also appreciate situations arise where operating a mobile service is imperative, such as the repair of plant machinery, cranes, and of course, marine craft.
